Our Method

No "fluent in 30 days" promises. No scientific magic. Just a clear, structured approach to adult language learning.

The Philosophy

At Ataraxia Spanish, we believe that adults learn differently than children. Adults benefit from understanding *why* a language works the way it does. We don't believe in hiding grammar, but we also don't believe in memorizing endless verb tables without context.

Our core sequence is simple and practical:

1

Understand it.

We start with clear, beginner-friendly explanations in English. We break down the grammar or vocabulary so you understand the logic behind it, avoiding misleading shortcuts.

2

Practice it.

Once the concept is clear, we do guided practice. This means controlled exercises to build muscle memory and confidence before you have to think on your feet.

3

Use it.

This is the most important step. We move from exercises to real, meaningful conversation. You will use the new structure to talk about yourself, your life, and your opinions with corrective feedback.

4

Review it.

Language learning requires repetition. We deliberately recycle past topics into new conversations so you don't forget what you learned last month.

CEFR Reference

We use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to structure our Learning Path and organize our materials. We focus primarily on the A0 (absolute beginner) through B1 (intermediate) levels.

Please note: Taking classes with Ataraxia Spanish does not provide official CEFR accreditation or certification. We use the framework as a guide for structured learning.
